Cycling

Why use an exercise bike that’s chained to a floor when you can get out and about on your bike and keep fit, get around quickly, cheaply and reliably, and be good to the planet too?

Many of us have bikes, but just don’t use them. So if you do have a bike that you haven’t used for a while, why not liberate it from the shed, the loft or the garage, get it checked over by your local bike shop, and rediscover the joys of pedal power?

If you don’t own a bike, but would like to give cycling a go, why not hire one for a weekend? Or if you’re thinking of buying one, visit your local bike shop and get all the benefit of their experience to make sure you get the right bike for you.

Not sure where to cycle? Sustrans, the charity behind the National Cycle Network (NCN), has loads of information on its website at www.sustrans.org.uk. Many sections of the NCN are completely free from motorised traffic, so they're great places to build your cycling confidence.
